Done Deal: Tottenham youngster TJ Eyoma moves to Lincoln City
Tottenham have confirmed that TJ Eyoma has completed a permanent move to Lincoln City (h/t official site). The youngster spent the last two seasons on loan for the Imps. Both clubs refused to put out any further details regarding a transfer fee or the duration of the contract signed by the 21-year-old.
A youth product of Spurs, Eyoma joined the academy in 2015. After playing a year for the youth side, he was promoted to the U-18’s. 21 appearances later, he was again bumped up to the U-23’s. It was there that he featured the most. He appeared in 49 games over the next few years, scoring once and assisting twice.
Eyoma would appear just once for the senior side during that time. Mauricio Pochettino allowed him to play a brief cameo in the FA Cup against Tranmere Rovers back in early 2019. However, he was sent on loan to Lincoln City for the second half of the season in 2020. On completion of that, he headed back there for a full season last time. So far, he has made 52 appearances for them.
With a future at Spurs looking bleak, the defender has now completed a permanent move to the Imps. Manager Michael Appleton spoke about the permanent move and why it had to be made (h/t BBC).
“His pathway at Spurs has come to an end. Clearly he’s not going to get into their first team, so when those type of opportunities come up, you’ve got to move quickly. He’s certainly not ready to start a game of football, but hopefully in the next two or three weeks we can get him up to speed and get him on the pitch.”
ℹ️ We have reached agreement with Lincoln City for the permanent transfer of TJ Eyoma.

Any other details were not disclosed by the clubs about a potential transfer fee and the contract he had signed. Perhaps it’s a move that made sense for everyone. Eyoma has been a constant for Lincoln City and he will get to continue there while Spurs get a player off their books.
