Man City will walk away from Harry Kane deal if an agreement is not reached this month
According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Manchester City will end their pursuit of Harry Kane after this summer. The defending Premier League champions are not keen to return for the Tottenham star next summer and want a deal by the end of this month.
Spurs, Kane and Man City are at an impasse. The striker wants to move and City are only too willing to have him. However, Spurs are not at all keen on that idea. The past few days have been pivotal for Spurs as Kane finally returned to the side after his holidays to resume training.
There were a lot of questions ahead of Spurs’ opening game in the Premier League, coincidentally against City. It was not made clear whether the talismanic striker would play a part. As it would happen, Spurs excluded him from the squad but clinched a narrow win either way.
City want Kane by the end of this month
Manchester City have seen an initial bid of £100million knocked back as he is valued at around £150million by Tottenham. City are expected to come in with a better offer but that might not match the valuation Spurs have.
It has been claimed that City will walk away from this deal if an agreement is not reached by the end of this month. Kane’s age is said to be a factor in this situation as he will be 29 at the start of next season and City are not keen to return for him then.
