Tottenham reject £125m bid from Manchester City for Harry Kane
According to The Telegraph (h/t Metro), Tottenham have rejected an offer of £125m from Manchester City for Harry Kane. The striker is trying to coax club chairman Daniel Levy into sanctioning a deal for the improved offer but the latter is not considering that in the least bit.
With less than two weeks remaining in the transfer window, the future of Harry Kane still remains shrouded as ever. On one hand, Kane believes he has an agreement that will allow him to leave Spurs with Man City showing interest. However, Levy has maintained his stance that no such agreement exists and is blocking an exit. (h/t Metro)
Last weekend saw Spurs take on City but it was Kane’s future that was a bigger topic of discussion. Eventually, Kane was left out from the Spurs squad but the home side had no problems dispatching City. A plausible reason was that Kane had returned late to training and needed to get back to match fitness.
It seems another bit of development has taken place in this whole saga. Apparently, City had sent a British record offer of £125m for Kane which was rejected. That is despite Kane’s renewed appeals to Levy to honour their prior ‘agreement’. Levy is clearly not even close to considering a sale and now, is not entertaining any approach from City.

There is also the understanding that Kane will not force a move away as he has a good relationship with the fans. Kane still has three years left on his current deal. That gives Spurs all the advantage they need to rebuff any sort of move. The club simply have no reason to sell unless City come in with an absurd amount.
