Transfer News: Wolves expecting Tottenham approach for Adama Traore
According to transfer news from the Daily Mail, Wolves are expecting an approach from Tottenham for Adama Traore. The belief is that a potential departure for Harry Kane will turn Spurs’ attention to the speedy winger as cover for the forward areas.
Spurs are still yet to figure out what lies ahead for the talismanic Harry Kane. Manchester City have been courting the player, albeit without much success as Spurs and Daniel Levy have maintained the stance that he is not for sale and value him at an astronomical figure. The problem for Spurs is that Kane’s departure could leave Nuno Espirito Santo with fewer options in attack.
It is for that reason Spurs have kept one eye on Adama Traore of Wolves. The Spaniard is a former protege of the current Spurs manager and it was under his spell that Traore developed into one of the most lethal wingers in the Premier League. A quick customer with the ball, Traore can get past the best of defenders with relative ease.
The interest in Traore is not new at all, although no formal bid has been sent so far. Tottenham have been after him since last summer with Wolves currently valuing him at a solid £45million. Traore has two years left on his contract and has shown no signs of extending it.
Now, Wolves are preparing for a potential offer from Spurs in the event Kane does depart for Manchester City.

It’s still hard to say where Kane will be when the transfer window closes at the end of August. However, Spurs are better off signing someone to bolster the forward line regardless. Nuno knows all there is about Traore and can possibly get the best out of him once again should Spurs move ahead for him.
