Tottenham and Juventus not interested in Sissoko-McKennie swap deal
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham and Juventus are not talking over a potential swap deal regarding Weston McKennie and Moussa Sissoko. Neither club are interested in the player exchange. Juventus will only consider a full cash sale with offers in the region of €25/30m.
From what it seems, Spurs are perhaps trying to refresh their options in midfield. They have their reasons as well. Apart from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, not a lot of players have really impressed. Moussa Sissoko is ageing, Harry Winks is average at best while Tanguy Ndombele cannot find favour under any manager. Nonetheless, Oliver Skipp does provide some hope.
However, placing the burden of an entire season on two players is a tad demanding and further options are now being explored. It would seem Weston McKennie of Juventus has caught the eye of Spurs. The American midfielder burst onto the scene with his lively performances for Juventus last season and his national side.
However, he might soon find it difficult to break into the side with the latest addition of Manuel Locatelli. Hence Juventus are considering a sale for him and offers only in the region of €25/30m will be considered. A swap deal will not be taking place between Spurs and Juve that could see Sissoko and McKennie swap clubs, Fabrizo Romano has claimed.

It might be a bit far fetched to think that Spurs would go on to stump that kind of money right when the transfer window is so close to closing. McKennie would have been a good addition to the side with his youthful and energetic style of play. But a move seems unlikely.
