Harry Kane could be handed new Tottenham contract
According to the Mirror, Harry Kane could be in line for a new contract after committing his future to Tottenham. The Spurs hitman confirmed on social media yesterday that he would not be moving over the summer and instead wants to give it all for the club.
Perhaps the Harry Kane transfer saga can be put to rest for now at least. For over three months Spurs had to deal with constant speculation that they could end up losing their prized asset to Manchester City. Kane’s public statements did not help the situation either when he went on that interview with Gary Neville.
The striker even took a step on his own by returning late for training after his holidays. He was subsequently left out for the season opener and the second game against Pacos de Ferreira as well. It was only against Wolves that Kane was handed a game off the bench. However, with time running out and both clubs at an impasse, Kane went on to reveal that he was going to stay put at Tottenham.
He wanted to give it all for the club this season and while that statement does not say anything about what happens beyond the season, it is something that can be left for later. Or perhaps it could be dealt with the new, improved contract Spurs are planning to offer Kane. It would take his current salary to £330,000 a week and it would keep him at the club till 2027.
It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks. 👏⚽

The new deal would surely put to bed any remaining bit of speculation that might be left. It would also be a good gesture on the club’s part for a player who has done so much for the team. It would be interesting to see what Kane does about the new deal if offered.
