Barcelona reveal the price tag for Tottenham target Ilaix Moriba
According to Sky Sports, Barcelona are hoping to receive £17million for Tottenham target Ilaix Moriba. Spurs have been after the youngster for a while now and there is some confidence that an agreement can be reached within the deadline on Tuesday. Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Manchester City have also expressed interest.
Amidst all the doom and gloom of Barca last season, their youngsters stepped up to the plate and showed that La Masia could still produce the goods. Among those names was Ilaix Moriba who came to the fore and showed that he was indeed the real deal. His impressive performances were enough to attract the attention of top clubs around Europe.
Barcelona, of course, have not been helped by his contract situation. He will be out of contract next season and no solution has been reached regarding an agreement. Several clubs including Spurs, Chelsea, City and Leipzig are hoping to make merry of this problem and get their hands on one of the best talents to emerge from the club.
Leipzig have ruled out a move this season while City only want him for free next season. That leaves Spurs with a relatively free run at Moriba now. Barcelona are said to be demanding a fee in the region of £17million. Spurs are said to be in talks with Barca and a deal could actually be done within the Tuesday deadline.
