Harry Kane admits he has no regrets over trying to force a move away from Tottenham
According to The Guardian, Harry Kane admits that he does not feel guilty over trying to force a move away from Tottenham. The striker was not fazed about a potential deal to Manchester City collapsing over the summer. However, he is now focused on winning trophies with Spurs as the season start to pick up.
Football is a fast-moving sport and not many things get stuck in the memory for that long. However, the events that happened with Kane and his efforts to push his way out of Tottenham will perhaps be in the minds of fans for quite a while. After all, Kane was one of their own and he wanted to leave the club.
Manchester City tried their level best in trying to get the prolific striker but could not meet the astronomical valuation of £150m set by Spurs. With just a few days of the transfer window remaining, Kane went on to commit his immediate future to the club, putting all talk of speculation to rest.
Kane spoke out after his failed move to Manchester City
Since missing the first two games of the season, he has been reintroduced into the side and even got his name on the score sheet. Kane returned to international duty but spoke out on his efforts to move away from the club.
“I don’t think so. Anyone involved in the football industry knows the ins and outs and I was calm with the situation. It was between me and the club. When you know the truth and you know what is going on, your conscience is clear. I have had ups and downs and I know a lot of people who know I am a professional athlete and dedicate my life to this game.
“My focus moving forward is to win silverware at Tottenham and this year is no different. We have started brilliantly in the Premier League with three wins and we have a new manager. This is my focus. We want to win as many games as possible and get that trophy I have wanted all my career.”
It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks. 👏⚽

It is definitely good to see Kane back in action. There is no doubt that he makes the side a much stronger one and if Spurs are to break their trophy duck, hewill be needed to do what he does best. Nonetheless, there is bound to be that lingering feeling that Kane really tried to force a move away.
