Transfer News: Fenerbahce are trying to sign Tottenham starlet Ryan Sessegnon
According to transfer news from CNN Turk (h/t The Scottish Sun), Fenerbahce are trying to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Tottenham on a loan deal. The Turkish transfer window is still open and both clubs are said to be keen on a deal. Spurs want the player to play regularly and are now willing to let him go despite rejecting earlier offers.
It’s rather hard to believe that Sessegnon is still at the raw age of 21. He burst onto the scene back in 2018 with Fulham and despite the relegation, he managed to catch the attention of Spurs. Signed in the summer of 2019, Sessegnon struggled to replicate the form from his previous season.
He was allowed to move to Hoffenheim last season on loan and that seemed to have sparked him to life. His overall output might not have been great but he did get some valuable game time. However, there are still doubts over how much game time he gets this season with Son Heung-Min nailing down the left-wing position and Bryan Gil emerging as a potent backup.
Apparently, Spurs rejected offers for Sessegnon during the English transfer window. But now they are offering the player to Fenerbahce as the Turkish window is still open. The Turkish giants are also keen to take the player on loan and Spurs believe that the move will help him get regular minutes to develop further.

Revealed: Real Madrid star Marco Asensio rejected approach from Tottenham
Perhaps another loan deal could be the best option for Sessegnon. He will have to fight it out with two star players in his position and that will reduce his minutes. A temporary spell in Turkey could work much like last season. Although there is not much time as the transfer window closes tonight.
