Nuno Espirito Santo reveals return dates for Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso
Speaking in a press conference (h/t football.london), Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo revealed the return dates for Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso. The Argentine duo will return a day before the Chelsea game next week. That rules them out for the matches against Crystal Palace and Rennes.
Nuno might have lost some sleep over the international break when he got news of the happenings of last Sunday. The pair of Romero and Lo Celso was in action for Argentina as they took on Brazil but the match could not go through as both players were confronted by police and health officials over breach of quarantine rules.
They were released earlier from duties as a result and they had to leave for Croatia to avoid the quarantine in the UK. They have been quarantining so far and were expected to miss a few games due to the same. It was only the question of how many games they were going to miss exactly.
Manager Nuno Santo sat for the press conference ahead of the Crystal Palace game. He gave a time frame by which both the players should be back and it was somewhat encouraging.
“They will arrive the day before the match against Chelsea so they will not be available for the Conference League game.”

This should not concern Spurs much as neither has been a sure starter so far. However, the chance to give them some games was there and that will probably play on the mind. Regardless, it will be good to have them ahead of a crucial derby against Chelsea. However, one can expect them to not be starting such a game after being out of action for so long.
