Tottenham starlet Joe Rodon speaks out on his time under Nuno Espirito Santo

Speaking in an interview (h/t football.london), Tottenham starlet Joe Rodon spoke about his experience working under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo. The Welsh defender said that he has had a brilliant time under the new boss so far and he wants to learn a lot from the Portuguese gaffer.

Joe Rodon came to Spurs with a lot of promise from Swansea last season. He was seen as one of the signings for the future. However, some problems over the transfer meant that he was not added to the Europa League squad and missed out on game time. Regardless, he impressed in the limited time he got and looked a shrewd buy.

Rodon had a good run in the Euros but an injury kept him out of action for Spurs at the start of the season. He has had to return right after being cleared when he came on as a sub against Crystal Palace on the weekend. With a few injuries and quarantine issues, Rodon could be getting more game time over the next few weeks.

Nuno was the third manager Rodon had to play under in such a short time. He was asked how different Nuno was from his previous managers. Here’s what he had to say (h/t Football.london).

“Yeah. I guess every manager is different in their own ways. I haven’t been with this manager long but he’s been brilliant with me so far. I want to learn from him. I’ve got to keep working hard and we’ll see where that takes me.”

The young defender will be hoping that he can impress in the next few games and possibly cement his place in the side. He is a bright prospect who showed last season that he is ready for the Premier League and can step it up if required.
