Transfer News: Tottenham keeping tabs on Ronnie Edwards
According to transfer news from Football Insider (h/t Peterborough Today), Tottenham are keeping tabs on Ronnie Edwards. The Peterborough starlet has impressed in the Championship so far and Spurs are keen to bring him to the club.
A youth product of Barnet, Edwards started out at their academy back in 2013. He went on to progress through the youth levels before being promoted to the U-18’s. Impressive performances meant that he was soon made captain of the side.
At just 16 years of age, he made his first-team debut for Barnet against Maidenhead in December 2019. Last season, he would move to Peterborough and made five appearances. He was handed his full debut against MK Dons in December last year. His form has continued this season as well, with the defender making three appearances so far.
Spurs have recently shown that they are willing to go after young players with potential. The signings of Pape Sarr and Bryan Gil show that the club wants to put its faith in youth. Edwards could be the latest in line to join them. The 18-year-old defender has impressed Spurs and they want him in the Premier League.

However, it has not been mentioned whether Spurs will try to get him in January or wait till the season is over. Edwards is already showing signs of a bright future at just 18 years of age and could be a great signing for the future for Spurs.
