Tottenham star Harry Kane tipped to join bigger club next season
Speaking to Genting Casino (h/t Express), William Gallas has tipped Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane to join a ‘bigger club’ in 2022. The former Spurs man was of the opinion that Kane should leave so that he can win trophies at a bigger club.
It was a difficult summer for both Kane and Tottenham in the sense that a potential separation was very much on the cards. Manchester City went after him relentlessly as they needed a striker but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy stayed put and did not sanction a sale. That seemed to have had a detrimental effect on Kane.
The usually prolific striker looked like a fish out of the water after returning to the side. Prior to Kane’s goal in the Carabao Cup, he had gone without scoring in four games. It is all the more concerning as Kane is yet to score in the Premier League this season after winning the Golden Boot last season.
It’s hard to say what Kane’s future holds but a former Spurs ace has tipped him to leave the club next season. Gallas feels that Kane will want to win the biggest trophies and is struggling this season.
“I said in the summer he should leave Tottenham and to go to a bigger club that can give him the opportunity to lift a trophy in this career. Every big player wants to win the Premier League or the Champions League. I’m sure that’s what Harry wants. He didn’t have a good game against Chelsea.”
Gallas added that Kane has to get back in form and angle for a move away next season.
“He is affected by what happened during the summer because he wanted to leave – it didn’t happen. He needs time to clear his mind. I’m sure he will give 100 per cent to his club again. He has to start performing to give himself more chance to leave at the end of the season.”

It’s hard to see Daniel Levy changing his stance within a season. Kane still has a contract until 2024 and Spurs will be under no pressure to sell. Moreover, it’s not clear whether any side like Man City will come after him again next season.
