Nuno Espirito Santo reveals Tottenham Hotspur are very serious about the UEFA Europa Conference League
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game on Thursday (h/t football.london), Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are committed to the UEFA Europa Conference League.
It has not been a bright start by any means for the former Wolves boss at Spurs as they have picked up only 9 points in the Premier League out of a possible 18. The defeat against Arsenal on Sunday was edging on humiliation, especially due to the manner of the loss.
However, the club do now have a chance to put out a statement performance in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday. After drawing 2-2 against Rennes in their first group stage game, the North London outfit will now face Slovenian side NS Mura.
In fact, it is not a game the Portuguese boss is taking lightly, as Spurs are aiming to win all the games and achieve glory in the first edition of this newly incorporated UEFA competition. Nuno told reporters in his pre-match press conference (h/t football.london):
“It is what it is. We are involved, and we are in it, and we are committed to it. Like I said during the first game we played in the playoffs in Portugal, we are committed to it. All the games are important to us.”
