Tottenham Hotspur ace Pierluigi Gollini has been warned by UEFA over a certain logo on his goalkeeping gloves
According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur star Pierluigi Gollini has been given a warning by UEFA regarding the size of a logo on his gloves.
The Italian shot-stopper was one of the five incredible signings completed by new director of football Fabio Paratici this summer.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful season at Atalanta last term as he featured 25 times in the Serie A and was a crucial reason behind the Italian outfit finishing in the Top 4 of the Italian league.
This season, the goalkeeper has only featured in the Cup games and was the hero in the thrilling penalty shootout in the EFL Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers as Spurs made their way into the fourth round of the competition.
However, his performances have also included appearances in the UEFA Europa Conference League and the authorities now have an issue with his gear. The Italian has a certain Reusch logo on his gloves, which is deemed to be too big by UEFA.
There are certain rules and restrictions in place regarding logos imprinted on the gloves of goalkeepers, and while it is allowed to be printed, it cannot be too big. A reoccurrence of this situation or disregard of the warning could also lead to the authorities fining the North London outfit.
