Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo has given his verdict on the club's loss to Dutch side Vitesse in the UEFA Conference League.

Nuno Espirito Santo deemed ‘distant’ and ‘uncommunicative’ by Tottenham Hotspur players

According to the Athletic (h/t Subscription Required)  [h/t The Metro], Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo is yet to convince the entire squad of his coaching methods as unrest surfaces amongst players.

Things are not particularly rosy in the white half of North London as the pressure on Nuno Espirito Santo is rising by the day. The defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea were taken with a pinch of salt, but the loss to Arsenal last weekend was embarrassing, to say the least.

The Gunners scored three goals within the first half an hour, and the only response given by Spurs was a late goal in the second half of the game. This is perhaps because there are a lot of doubts within the Tottenham camp regarding their new boss’ methods and tactics.

The North London club have played a lot of unattractive football this season–an ideology and philosophy far off from the one Mauricio Pochettino employed and one similar to Jose Mourinho’s, which was not accepted by the fans.

However, it is not just supporters who are distressed with the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss. The players are unconvinced by Nuno’s ideologies and have also labelled him distant and uncommunicative, according to The Athletic (h/t The Metro).

Currently, Spurs are amongst the worst teams in the league in terms of expected goals, chances created, and shots on target. Thus, there is a lack of attacking output, and it is not helped by the fact that Harry Kane has not scored a league goal yet this season.
