Juventus lay down their asking price for Tottenham Hotspur-linked Weston McKennie

According to Calciomercato (h/t ESPN), Tottenham Hotspur have been told by Juventus that they will have to cough up €30million to sign Weston McKennie.

The North London club currently possess the likes of Harry Winks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, and Oliver Skipp in their midfield line and could be looking to add more quality in the ranks.

Moussa Sissoko left the club earlier this summer and Nuno Espirito Santo is left with only 4 options in the centre of the park despite the fact that the club are actively competing in four competitions.

All the other top clubs that are competing in the same number of competitions i.e., Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool & Chelsea, etc. possess at least 5 quality central midfielders.

Thus, London outfit are now said to be interested in signing Weston McKennie from Juventus. The USMNT international featured heavily for the Italian club last season as he made 46 appearances in all competitions and scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists in the process.

However, the central midfielder has fallen down the pecking order this season under the management of Massimiliano Allegri. Although he has made 9 appearances this term, most of them have been off the bench as he has secured less than 350 minutes.

Juventus are interested in selling the player, and Spurs could also have an advantage in securing a deal. Fabio Paratici had secured the move for the midfielder last summer when he was the director of football at the Serie A club and could do so again, but this time for the North London outfit.

This advantage will be key for Tottenham as London rivals West Ham United are also interested in a deal for the 23-year-old, according to Calciomercato (h/t ESPN). Thus, with Juventus ready to sell, only time will tell whether Spurs are ready to shell out the necessary €30million for the American.
