Tottenham Hotspur could field a very different lineup in their upcoming UEFA Europa Conference League fixture against SBV Vitesse
According to Football.London, some of the key first-team players were absent for Tottenham Hotspur’s training session ahead of their match against SBV Vitesse.
Tottenham were without ten of their main outfield players in their training session on Wednesday before the UEFA Europa Conference League fixture against the Dutch club.
Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, Son Heung-Min, Lucas Moura, and Harry Kane were missing in the practice session ahead of the match. This could mean that Nuno Espirito Santo would be willing to give these key players some much-needed rest.
The Portuguese manager seems to have gotten his team back on track to an extent with back-to-back victories in the Premier League against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon were the other players who have been missing due to injuries. This match could also be a great way to give some of the younger and fringe players a chance to get some quality time under their belts. It is believed that players like Joe Rodon, Ben Davies, Harry Winks, and Bryan Gil could feature for the Lilywhites in this fixture.
Dilan Markanday, Jack Clarke, Nile John, and Harvey White were some of the other academy products that were involved in the training session ahead of the game with Vitesse. They would also be hoping to get a chance to feature in the senior squad against the Dutch team. It is highly likely that 17-year-old striker Dane Scarlett may get the opportunity to feature for the team in their fixture on Thursday.
