Transfer News: Inter Milan and West Ham United have expressed interest in Tottenham Hotspur target Paul Onuachu
According to Calciomercato (h/t Football.London), Inter Milan and West Ham United have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the pursuit of KRC Genk striker Paul Onuachu.
The Belgian club are apparently demanding close to £20million for their prolific striker. The Nigerian striker has scored 56 goals and provided 7 assists in 85 matches across all competitions for Genk. Onuachu could be a great addition to any team with his towering presence.
The 27-year-old striker could certainly help Nuno Espirito Santo rotate his squad for several competitions. The striker has gotten off to a great start this season and already recorded 9 goals in 10 matches for Genk in the Belgian League. The lack of a proper backup striker was evident after the North London club’s sordid display against SBV Vitesse in the UEFA Europa Conference league.
Spurs have relied heavily on Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min for their attacking threat in recent seasons. An exciting prospect like Onuachu could help boost the morale of the squad and add some depth going forward. Tottenham have had a rocky start to this season and with a hectic schedule in front of them, this could be seen as a great deal.
Kane has also been linked with a move away from the club up until last month with Manchester City being the most likely destination. If such a thing were to happen it would be a big blow for Spurs and Nuno. Under such circumstances, the Lilywhites could be even more determined to make a move for the Nigerian striker. If the new report is to be believed the North Londoners may have to fight off the Nerazzurri for the former FC Midtjylland player.

Any move at the moment is speculation right now but it seems as though the North London club may have to fight a plethora of suitors for the 27-year-old Genk player. Paratici has shown his astute business skills in the past and that could certainly boost Tottenham’s chances in this situation.
