Manchester United release an early update ahead of the trip to Tottenham Hotspur
According to their official website, Manchester United have released an update regarding their team as they prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on 30 October. The Red Devils come into this game as a more rested side since they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup earlier.
Spurs will be hosting the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and are currently in the sixth spot. United closely follow them in seventh with a one-point deficit having played nine matches so far.
Both sides go into the match off a defeat and will be keen to get back to winning ways. Both managers are also under pressure and need a positive result soon. . Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will be under the scanner more given their 5-0 humiliation at the hands of arch-rivals Liverpool.
Paul Pogba is ruled out as he was given a red card for a challenge on Naby Keita. He will be missing the next three domestic games for the English club. Whether this opens the door for Donny van de Beek to feature on the night remains to be seen.
Solskjaer’s side will be boosted by the possibility of Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial returning for the league tie. However, it is not confirmed at the moment whether either of them will be able to take part in the game.
A win will certainly ease Nuno Espirito Santo’s stress level. It could also prove to be the final nail in Solskjaer’s coffin as he struggles.
