Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur are keen on a deal for Bayern Munich ace Corentin Tolisso
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t ESPN), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in orchestrating a transfer for Bayern Munich star Corentin Tolisso next summer.
The 27-year-old has suffered for game-time at the Allianz Arena in recent seasons, with the likes of Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich, and Jamal Musiala in front of him. The Frenchman has managed a mere 6 appearances across all competitions this season, including playing just 38 minutes of Bundesliga football this season.
The midfielder might be on the move now after having won multiple Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League trophy in 2020. Tolisso has entered the final year of his contract at the German outfit and had attracted interest from Inter Milan & Juventus initially.
However, Spurs have now joined the race and will try to get a deal over the line for the French international. Nuno Espirito Santo could use a player like the Bayern ace, especially due to the shortage of midfielders in his side.
The North London club only posses the likes of Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, and Oliver Skipp in the midfield line after letting Moussa Sissoko leave this summer.
Every other Top 4 club at least has more than four quality options in the centre of the pitch and if Tottenham are to compete for a spot in that race, they will need to add quality too.

Moreover, given that the former Lyon man will be available on a free transfer next summer, it would be a genius move by Fabio Paratici to get the player to sign a deal. However, they will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.
Thus, only time will tell whether Tolisso could be convinced by the budding project at Spurs and boost the quality in Nuno’s ranks.
