Newcastle United join the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Manor Solomon
According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle United have entered the fray to land Tottenham Hotspur transfer target and FC Shakhtar Donetsk attacker, Manor Solomon.
The 22-year-old Israeli professional footballer has been drumming up a lot of interest from the English sides. He has been linked to fellow rivals Arsenal and Manchester City as well. It is believed that Newcastle United have also joined the list of suitors for the young attacker.
Solomon has scored 20 goals and provided 9 assists in 90 games across all competitions for Donetsk. The young attacker still has immense potential to grow and could be the perfect addition to any club.
Fabio Paratici and Tottenham have adopted a culture of trying to get in young talents in the last couple of transfer windows. The signings of Emerson Royal, Pape Matar Sarr, and Bryan Gil serve as testimony to this statement. This strategy of bringing in young players to ensure the future of the club can reap long-term dividends if they are nurtured properly.
Manor Solomon perfectly fits this mould and could be a great acquisition to this squad. The Lilywhites have struggled a lot in their attacking department recently. Their star striker Harry Kane has found it tough to get going without any substantial contributions from the midfielders.
The Israeli International could help Nuno Espirito Santo add that spark of creativity to the squad. He could take some time to adapt to the intensity and physicality of the Premier League. At 22, the Shakhtar Donetsk player still has a lot to develop and this could be a greater advantage to any club.
