Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura sends important message ahead of Manchester United clash
In conversation with Standard Sport (h/t Daily Mail), Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura admits that it will be a tough match against Manchester United.
The Red Devils have come under stark criticism for their performances recently. The Manchester-based team have let in 9 goals in their last 2 PL games despite boasting a star-studded lineup. Their situation was only made worse when Paul Pogba received his marching orders in their last fixture against Liverpool for a rash tackle on Naby Keita.
This means that the French midfielder will not feature in the game against the Lilwyhites. Despite this recent track record, Moura is of the belief that it will be a tough game against the Old Trafford outfit on 30th October.
The Brazilian International spoke about Manchester United ahead of their clash. He asserted that the Red Devils have some great players and would be hungry for a win after a defeat against the Merseysiders:
“They are hungry because of the game against Liverpool and we are hungry because of the game against West Ham. They have very good players, they have good experience in football and they’ll know how to pass this moment. This is not our problem, it doesn’t matter the moment they have, we just need to do our best, go on the pitch and fight and do our game to get three points.”
Spurs qualified for the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup via an excellent header from the 29-year-old Brazilian attacker. He was assisted by fellow South American teammate Emerson Royal. The Lilwyhites have lacked that attacking threat going forward this season.

The win against Burnley would have brought Nuno Espirito Santo and his men some respite. That being said the Spurs supporters would be hoping that they can continue that kind of form against their Manchester rivals. Lucas Moura has highlighted that the Lilywhites will have to bring their A-game against a very good Manchester United side if they are to get a favourable result.
