Antonio Conte explains his feelings after taking over as the Tottenham Hotspur manager
According to Sky News, Antonio Conte has opened up on his feelings after being appointed the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur. He replaced Nuno Espirito Santo who was dismissed after just four months at the helm.
Conte is one of the best managers available on the market and Spurs have enjoyed nothing short of a coup in landing him. A league champion with not just Inter Milan and Juventus but also Chelsea, the Italian is well versed in the Premier League.
The Italian gave his reasons for not accepting the job back in the summer as he felt it was not the right time to coach for another club following his departure from Inter. He also said that Daniel Levy is the reason why he accepted the job this time around.
He is happy to be back in the coaching hotseat. Conte is already impressed with the state of the art facilities at his disposal. Just how well he sues them remains to be seen.
“I am extremely happy to return to coaching, and to do so at a Premier League club that has the ambition to be a protagonist again. Tottenham Hotspur has state-of-the-art facilities and one of the best stadiums in the world.”
The former Chelsea boss has revealed his eagerness to instil his identity with Tottenham across all areas. He also added how he wants to make a mark with Spurs and make them compete with the top clubs.
“I can’t wait to start working to convey to the team and the fans the passion, mentality and determination that have always distinguished me, as a player and as a coach.”
