Tottenham Hotspur fans react to the announcement of Antonio Conte as their new manager
According to Tottenham Hotspur on their official Twitter handle, Antonio Conte has been appointed as the new boss following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo. He was previously the coach of Inter Milan and has won the Seria A title while putting an end to the dominance of Juventus in Italy.
The statement says that Conte will be the manager till the summer of 2023, with an option to extend. Fabio Paratici is said to have played a major role in convincing the manager to accept the offer.
The Managing Director of Football is delighted to appoint the Italian as the new coach, having worked with him at Juve. However, no information about the coaching staff has been revealed in the club statement.
“We are delighted to welcome Antonio to the Club. His track record speaks for itself, with vast experience and trophies in both Italy and England. I know first-hand the qualities Antonio can bring to us, having worked with him at Juventus, and look forward to seeing his work with our talented group of players.”
The supporters would be hoping that the former Chelsea boss would facilitate success at their club. Both fans and the players have been yearning for silverware but have failed to achieve even one.
The former Seria A manager is a great personality to have at a club with ambitions, and his signing could change the attitude of the fans towards the current board.
