Antonio Conte revealed his guidelines to the Tottenham squad in their first meeting
According to The Telegraph (Subscription Required) [h/t Metro], Antonio Conte has made his intentions clear to the entire Tottenham Hotspur squad during their first meeting after being appointed as their new coach following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.
Conte was not allowed to be involved in the first training session as there was a delay in receiving his Visa. However, he was able to get acquainted with the entire squad and subsequently opened up on what he needed.
The players have accepted his demands and are hopeful about their future under their new manager. With the stature that he brings into the club the morale, is said to have reached newer heights.
The Italian has demanded full commitment from the players and has warned them not to get complacent. He added that everyone will be treated equally, and performances will determine the role they have in the team.
The former Chelsea boss has also promised to do his best to improve the squad with the help of his new team. He wants the players to follow his demanding tactics and practises if they hope to win silverware.
The pep talk seems to have done wonders as there is a sense of positivity within the squad. It was not the case under Nuno, as it is said that confidence was at an all-time low.
