Antonio Conte names “physicality and mentality” as two factors that need to be improved at Tottenham Hotspur
According to The Guardian, Antonio Conte has named physicality and mentality as two factors that need to be improved at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the game against Everton in the Premier League.
The 52-year-old boss has already had it tough at his new club due to the circumstances in which he joined the club. He was late for the presser as he mentioned the lack of preparation time as the reason for being an hour late.
Talking in the pre-match press conference, Conte has said that the team needs to improve a lot to play under him. He specified how it is not just about tactics, but the physical condition is not up to the desired level.
“We need to work a lot to try to improve this team. There are many, many aspects – not only tactically but also physically. It’s for every single player. I know my parameters and I know that I want to have a type of football that is aggressive and intensive.”
The Italian adds how the team needs to breathe a winning mentality to complement the physical effort, or it will be in vain. He was adamant that the players need to dedicate their lives if they desire to win titles.
“It’s not easy because you have to work every day and you have to breathe a winning mentality every day. You have to start every day with this type of mentality. If you start to think in this way, it means that you want to become a winner.”
