Cesc Fabregas warns Tottenham Hotspur players about angering Antonio Conte
Speaking to The Times (h/t The Express), Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has issued a warning to the players of Tottenham Hotspur about getting on the nerves of Antonio Conte. He was a former player of Conte during their time together at Stamford Bridge.
The 34-year-old had played under the Italian for two years as they won the Premier League title and FA Cup in two years. He has scored ten goals while providing 22 assists in 86 appearances under the new Spurs coach.
Fabregas has revealed how it was like to work under his former manager and has cautioned the Tottenham squad to not anger the boss. He admitted that the former Chelsea man was tough to deal with if the players did not follow his instructions.
“He made training so hard, he was not talking to anybody, just making sure we put a big session in our legs — run, run, run. That week was all about building up a new formation, but this training on the Tuesday after Arsenal felt like a bit of a punishment.”
The Spaniard was talking about the day after they had lost to Arsenal by 3-0 and admitted that the session felt more like a punishment. However, he added that the former Inter Milan coach wants a reaction from his players, which explains the rigorous training.
“For him, sometimes, if you don’t play well or he doesn’t think you are the right level as a team he will put a big session which shows he is upset with you, to make us pay for the game. But it works. He wants a reaction from the team.”

It seems that the 52-year-old manager is already up to his antics as he turned up an hour late for his presser on Friday. It was because of the ‘extra’ training session he had put his new team under. The Spurs stars should realize that half measures will not fly anymore and that the Italian is a serial winner.
