Tottenham injury update: Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon yet to make a comeback

According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur’s Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon could be out of the Everton clash due to their earlier injury.

Since coming onto the side, Bryan Gil played minimal minutes under Nuno Espírito Santo. His influence was limited. But he was forced off after suffering an injury against Burnley in the Carabao Cup one week ago.

Though the Portuguese manager hasn’t given any clear indication of the type of injury, his social media activities suggested that he suffered a hamstring problem.

The former Tottenham manager said that there’s not much information available right now, and we would know the details after a proper assessment of the player by the medical team.

“He’s on ice, and he is being assessed. There’s not much more, so let’s wait to the proper assessment.”

Though his return date is unknown, it’s implausible that the young Spanish winger could feature in today’s clash against Everton.

Ryan Sessegnon suffered an injury on international duty with the under-21 England team. The left wing-back has been sidelined for over a month and is recovering for a comeback.

When asked about his return date, Nuno Espírito Santo indicated that though they are improving, the coaching department is yet to know the exact date when he could return to the field.

“We don’t know [when he will return]. They [Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn] are improving, day by day.”

Ryan Sessegnon featured in the UEFA Europa Conference League Qualifiers this season. The midfield player didn’t leave any noticeable impact on his performance but could be a future asset for the Spurs team.
