Antonio Conte made a beautiful gesture to the Tottenham Hotspur away fans before kick-off vs Everton
According to Football.London, New Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte went to the travelling Spurs fans at Goodison Park to thank their efforts for coming and supporting the team against Everton.
Antonio Conte took the new Tottenham job earlier this week, and he faced his second opponent as Tottenham boss. Though the match was eventful from beginning to end, what caught the eyes of travelling Spurs fans was the nice gesture from the new manager.
The Italian manager went over to the side where the travelling fans were sitting and thanked them for coming to the stadium and supporting their team.
The former Inter Milan manager would have liked the idea of starting his first Premier League game with the Spurs with a win. But, Everton were successful in holding them in a goalless draw.
When his team is winning and consistently performing well, he wouldn’t need any backing to feel good. But for moments like today, where they couldn’t get home with the 3 points, or worse if they surrender all three points, he would require the support and backing from the fans.
For a long term career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, he would want to maintain a healthy relationship with the fans. As a newcomer, he has already initiated the process by appreciating the efforts of the fans to take the time from their schedule and travel to Goodison Park to motivate the team and become the 12th man.
The London team is going to face Leeds United after the international break. The Peacocks have shown a disappointing start to the season. Our team would want to capitalize on this moment and would look to go for the win. Being in the home stadium, we already have the added advantage.
