Arsenal could scupper Tottenham Hotspur transfer plan for striker Dusan Vlahovic
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t Football.London), Arsenal could hand a major disadvantage to their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window.
Gunners, who themselves have struggled to make progress over a deal for fellow Serie A star, have turned their attention to signing Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is not opposed to bringing him in from the looks of it.
According to the same report, a bid of €40million‘ (£34million) would convince the Turin club to accept the bid for the Swedish international. However, the Old Lady are planning to invest the same money by bringing in Spurs target Vlahovic to Turin.
Juve also have an advantage over both the English clubs – given that they are involved in the UEFA Champions League. Spurs are in the Conference League while Arsenal have no European football to offer this season.
And they are not the only club interested in signing the Fiorentina star – the likes of Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund are also keeping a close eye on him.
Spurs are also interested in signing Arsenal target Kulusevski, who has been a bit-part player this season under boss Massimiliano Allegri. Despite playing in 15 matches this season – the winger has been mostly used as a substitute.
After the appointment of Antonio Conte, Spurs would be looking to build a squad according to the Italian’s liking and they have seemingly shortlisted a 21-year-old forward to help the cause.

Kulusevski was initially brought to Juve from Parma for €35m back in January 2020 when current Spurs’ director of football, Fabio Paratici, was plying his trade with the Italians. The 49-year-old left the Old Lady to join the London club as the director of football this summer.
As for the Serbian hitman, Spurs would be hoping that a domino effect does not prevent them from signing him- given their interest in him is serious and they actually do want to bring him in.
