Borussia Dortmund make the first move to lure Tottenham Hotspur target Dusan Vlahovic
According to Calciomercato (h/t Express), German giants, Borussia Dortmund have made the first move in the pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur target, Dusan Vlahovic by offering him a swap deal.
The Serbian has put on some awe-inspiring performances for La Viola in recent times. His hunger and goalscoring intent with the incredible conversion rate makes him one of the most wanted talented youngsters in the world. He ended the last season with 21 goals in 37 Serie A games.
The Serbian players’ thesis seasons tally of eight goals in 12 games has lived up to the expectations. It is fair to say that his numbers from last season were more than mere luck.
Such electrifying performances have attracted some big clubs who are on to run to secure his signature. Tottenham has been heavily linked with the 21-year-old player in recent times.
It seems last season’s Harry Kane transfer saga has opened the eyes of the Tottenham board. They are looking for alternative options as too much reliability on the English frontmen could land them in difficulties.
But it seems the North London team has been stormed past by German giant Borussia Dortmund in the race. It is believed that BVB have offered Fiorentina £30million plus Donyell Malen as a ‘swap deal’ for Vlahovic.
The German team are equally concerned with the availability of their prime striker, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has become the target of several elite teams, and it seems he would be reluctant to leave Signal Iduna Park next summer.

In such a case, it becomes a necessity and priority for the German team to sign viable alternatives to cover up any damages left by the departure of their key striker.
BVB’s offer could come as a shock to Tottenham, who are yet to make a move. The Spurs board would have to find loopholes in the offered deal and prepare a more substantial contract with a solid project to lure the Serbian.
