Bryan Gil backed to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Tottenham Hotspur ace Bryan Gil has been linked with a Spurs exit in the upcoming summer transfer window, and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano relays the claim that several clubs are expressing keen interest in securing his services.
The North Londoners are looking to build on the progress that the club has made since Ange Postecoglou took over the reins at White Hart Lane last summer. To ascertain the progress at N17, they are expected to undergo a massive summer overhaul to make space for ceiling raisers in the roster at Ange’s disposal. This not only gives the club the club an opportunity to raise some funds but also allows them to refine their squad according to Postecoglou’s vision and philosophy, ensuring they have the right players to execute his playing style on the pitch.
Romano predicts permanent exit for winger
Spurs brought the 23-year-old in a £21.6 million transfer, with Erik Lamela moving to Sevilla as part of the deal in what was tagged as a bargain transfer in 2021; however, it has not turned out as per expectations, with the Spaniard struggling to find his feet in England. Many expected his struggles to change under Ange’s disposal; however, his situation, complemented by a lack of minutes at White Hart Lane, has been the core of speculations regarding a permanent transfer away from the Lilywhites.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano acknowledged that the silky Spaniard is in surplus at Tottenham, and he could make way for a new forward this summer. In a conversation with GIVEMESPORT, the Italian said: “The idea for Tottenham, from what I am hearing, is to add one more offensive player also, because there is a concrete possibility to see maybe one player leave that position.
“For example, Bryan Gil, I think this summer he can go; he can try a new opportunity; I think on a permanent transfer. This is what I’m told, and so they are considering several opportunities, also because Alejo Veliz will return from Sevilla, but he will leave on loan again.”
