Davinson Sanchez among the players Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell this summer
According to Evening Standard, Davinson Sanchez is among the players Tottenham Hotspur are willing to part ways with in the summer transfer window. His future at N17 has been up in the air for quite a while, considering how minutes have been hard to come by for the defender.
Sanchez has fallen down the pecking order under Antonio Conte after enjoying a whole lot of chances to make a case for himself during the start of the boss’ tenure. However, constant mistakes and lack of improvements coupled with Cristian Romero’s return forced him out on the bench for quite some time.
Now, it seems that Sanchez’s time with Spurs is coming to an end as the club are set to listen to advances for him this summer. They want to rebuild their squad to support Conte’s project and are looking to raise some funds by selling the fringe players. The Colombian is also joined by Joe Rodon, Emerson Royal, and Sergio Reguilon in the sale shortlist.
Exit on the cards?
Sanchez’s game time has been close to non-existent over the past few months, which could indicate his future with us. The Italian boss has preferred to use Ben Davies, who is not a natural central defender, as a starter, which goes to show how dire the situation is for the former Ajax Amsterdam man.
Sanchez was brought in from the Eredivisie club for a fee of £42million, and expectations were high due to the promise he had shown in the Netherlands. However, he has failed to build on that early foundation as his spell in North London has always been tainted by regular mistakes in defence.
Hence, it would be best to cut our ties with the 25-year-old and recoup as much money as possible to use that amount for the rebuild. That seems to be the plan right now, which is a good decision indeed, as the defender has deserved more than enough chances to make a case with us.

It would be very tough for us to recoup even a good portion of the transfer fee we paid for the South American this summer. After all, he has not performed at his best for club and country for quite a while, and it would not make sense for clubs to spend big on him at this moment.
That being said, Fabio Paratici must find a solution to these issues at the earliest to facilitate the rebuilding process as soon as possible. Hence, let’s wait and see how this situation will pan out in the coming months ahead of the summer transfer window.
