Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici planning Dejan Kulusevski and Weston McKennie haul
According to CalcioMercato (h/t Daily Express), Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici is planning to use his connections at Juventus to carry out the signings of Dejan Kulusevski and Weston McKennie.
Dejan Kulusevski hasn’t really come into his own in Turn. The Swedish youngster failed to earn the trust of Massimiliano Allegri and has not been able to build upon the promising displays during his Parma days. The 21-year-old has only managed to bag 1 goal and 3 assists in 22 appearances. Furthermore, he has only started 4 games in Serie A.
Weston McKennie joined Juventus in 2020. The American international has come to hold down an important spot in the Italian manager’s side at the Allianz Stadium. The 23-year-old is a versatile footballer who can play as a wide, as well as a central midfielder.
Tottenham have been linked with both the Juventus players lately. Fabio Paratici had a successful spell at Turin before moving to Spurs. The Italian himself oversaw the transfer moves of Kulusevski and Weston McKennie to Turin during his time at Juve.
Now, it is believed that the Tottenham transfer chief is planning to use his connection at the Italian club to complete the double swoop. This news becomes important after the recent injury to Son Heung-min. Steven Bergwijn is also out injured and while Conte gave chances to Bryan Gil, it seems that the Spaniard requires more time to become a pinned starter.
The Swedish winger, if signed early, can be a potent option to have down the flanks. He can act as a replacement for the ex-Bayer Leverkusen winger while also acting as a long-term successor to any of Spurs’ current attackers if they leave N17 in the future.
Antonio Conte has often made use of an able midfielder to make the difference in the attacking half. Even though Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg and Oliver Skipp have performed well, there is often a lack of creativity in the attacking phase of our midfield. A quality player like Weston McKennie could make the difference.

The Juventus duo is young and energetic. Even if the two players take some time to adjust to Antonio Conte’s system they can provide a number of years of service in the future. Logically speaking, losing the two to an English team rather than a direct Italian rival would also make more sense for Juve, granted that the money is right.
