Tottenham Hotspur receive transfer boost as Luis Diaz has no issues over agreeing personal terms with Spurs

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio RomanoLuis Diaz has no disputes on the subject of agreeing on personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur for a potential move. Romano issued this update and refuted claims that stated otherwise, giving a massive boost to Spurs in the process.

Diaz is arguably one of the best players in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, so if Tottenham could add him to their squad, it would send a message regarding their ambitions under Antonio Conte. He has dreams of moving to the Premier League, which plays in favour of the English club.

The North London side knows that they would not face any issue from the 25-year-old or his agents when it comes to agreeing on personal terms. They have been focusing their attention on striking a deal with Porto, having put in an opening bid worth ‘€35million/40m‘.

However, the Portuguese side will not be influenced by an offer around that region. Negotiations over a transfer are still continuing at this instant but it is stated that it will be difficult for Conte’s side to pull this off as the deadline date looms closer.

Spurs need Diaz

Making moves this late in the transfer window always puts us in a bit of a tough place but there is still time left until deadline day. Football has always been unpredictable, so there is a chance that Fabio Paratici and co can pull this deal off.

Our interest is real, as evidenced by our opening offer. Looking at our attack, it is safe to say that we do not have the best depth in the league up front. Son Heung-min is basically unchallenged down the left-hand side while Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura jostle for starts down the right-wing.

The two have also been used centrally by Conte, showing the lack of a quality backup for Harry Kane. Jack Clarke and Bryan Gil, meanwhile, are still rookies. That calls for additions to the squad and the Colombian international, who was at par with Lionel Messi on the goal-scoring front at the Copa America 2021, would make for a smart acquisition.

However, we have not reached an agreement with the Primeira Liga side just yet, which is concerning at this point in the window. They are the league leaders right now and the forward has played a major role in their success in reaching this stage.

We would certainly have to do better with our second offer- if we plan on submitting one- considering Porto would be able to smell our desperation from a mile away, especially with just a few days left in the window.
