Tottenham Hotspur handed transfer boost with Chelsea open to selling Armando Broja
According to the Metro, Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a massive boost as Chelsea are open to selling Armando Broja in the summer transfer window. He is currently out on loan at Southampton and has earned lots of plaudits for his sensational performances for the Saints.
The Blues are looking to raise funds to meet their requirements after the current season. They have already guaranteed Thomas Tuchel that he will be backed through signings next summer. As such, they have plans to generate funds for their transfer budget by parting ways with Broja and Tino Anjorin.
The Saints have expressed their interest to secure the 20-year-old’s services, with him already playing for them temporarily. Tottenham are also in the mix, but they will face off against their bitter rivals in Arsenal to finalise a move for him.
Can Spurs sign Broja?
Facilitating a transfer for the Albanian would be difficult due to our rivalry with the Blues. What makes it difficult is Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side’s presence in the race to sign him. After all, the West London club could simply decide to sell him to his loan club instead of us. Tuchel’s team could prevent bolstering their bitter and direct rivals in that regard.
However, Spurs can get an advantage if they would be able to price out Hasenhuttl’s team in the pursuit to secure the Chelsea loanee’s signature. Marina Granovskaia and co want to raise their transfer budget to back their man in charge. Hence, we have a chance to use monetary means as a method to get our desired target.
Things would not be easy with the Gunners also being in the fray as they would look to battle it out with us. That being said, we must do our best and get this in the bag as signing a centre-forward is a necessity for us under the current circumstances.
Harry Kane has no reliable backup in our squad, which is baffling to say in and of itself. So we do need someone who can provide us with a solid option at this moment while being a long term asset as well. Kane does not have many years left in his bag, and we eventually have to look at an ideal replacement.

Broja can be that man considering how we have performed for the Hampshire based club. He has scored eight goals this season with an assist alongside it across all competitions. The Albanian international has shown all the signs to become a future superstar. Getting him into the squad could do wonders for us as we try to build a project under Antonio Conte.
The recent embarrassing defeat to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup highlights how we need more quality additions to the team. Whether the North London club can sign Broja or not remains to be seen in the summer transfer window.
