Dejan Kulusevski opens up on his feelings surrounding the January transfer to Tottenham Hotspur
Dejan Kulusevski has revealed his feelings surrounding his move to join Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window. He has been sensational with his performances for the English club and seems to be a great piece of business at this moment.
Kulusevski has already cemented his authority in the right-wing and has quickly become a regular under Antonio Conte so far. He has been in terrific form, having scored two goals and assisted four times in the Premier League this season from nine appearances. However, despite his quick success, the forward has admitted that he was very nervous during his early days.
Speaking in an interview with Swedish media Fotbollskanalen (h/t Football.London), the Swede conveyed that he is happy about deciding to move to Spurs. The attacker also mentioned that he is delighted with how things have turned out for him to this instant.
“It’s fantastic, I’m so happy that the move was made. It’s something I wanted for myself, I was a little nervous when I got there. A new club, a new league and also because the Premier League is a very difficult league. But it has gone very well. I’m happy to have played and scored some goals and assists.”
What a signing!
The 21-year-old did not stop there, having expressed that he could not have joined a better club than the North London side. The winger added that he always wanted to play in the PL and had opportunities to move earlier but is happy for making the right choice at the right time.
“The Premier League is the league I have wanted to play in since I was little. And every year there has been a small opportunity for me to go there but it has never felt 100 per cent. Now I wanted to go there, I wanted a new challenge, a new environment, and I got it there. I could not have wished for a better club.”
We are ecstatic to see how the Tottenham ace has fared so far at the club. Initially, there were some concerns since his time at Turin was not that great despite the potential he showcased at Parma. However, he has proven that his diminished return at Juve could have been more due to their decline in recent years.

The supporters are in awe of how quickly the Swedish international came to the club and took over the reins from Lucas Moura. That is no easy feat, and we are hopeful that he continues to perform at such a level and build on the progress he has made in such a short time.
Signing Kulusevski has been one of the best pieces of business we have done in recent times, so we must credit Fabio Paratici for what he has done. While there have been some hiccups here and there, Paratici has done a great job overall. Let’s hope to see the attacker achieve greater success and contribute to the project we are building under Conte.
