Manchester United priced out of potential transfer for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane
According to The Sun, Manchester United have been priced out of a potential transfer for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane ahead of this summer. This news would give a sigh of relief to those at N17 as they would have one less obstacle to deal with after this season.
Kane has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, which did raise some concerns regarding his future with Tottenham. However, it is now claimed that Man United will not be able to afford the centre-forward’s asking price, and they have decided to end their pursuit as a result.
Spurs would demand more than £100million in transfer fees for the England international’s signature. That figure is out of the Red Devils’ league, and they have diverted their attention towards Sebastian Haller of Ajax, with Erik ten Hag being set to move to Carrington at the end of this term.
Boost for Spurs!
It is always a good sight to see the thorns standing in our way getting swept aside for our benefit. Even if the chances of the 28-year-old joining the Manchester club was low, it is still a better situation if a transfer is completely ruled out.
Hence, this latest update would be a massive boost for Antonio Conte’s side and their prospects of keeping hold of their star man. After all, the forward is a key component of Conte’s system and losing his services would have been detrimental to the project they are building currently.
That being said, we would not need to worry about Ralf Rangnick’s side anymore as they are no longer in pursuit. However, we must be proactive about the subject and prevent such occurrences from happening by renewing Kane’s current contract.
That would not be easy as the Premier League superstar would probably want assurances about title aspirations. After all, he still has not won any silverware in his playing career despite being one of the best centre-forwards in world football over the past few years.

Following Conte’s arrival, there is a growing belief within the fanbase that we finally have a chance to genuinely win trophies if the boss is backed by the board. If that is the case, then it would not be too much of a reach to say that the Tottenham attacker could have similar thoughts on the matter.
The North London side could use that to their advantage and make a case for themselves by proving that they will back Conte moving forward. Should that happen, we may finally be able to secure Kane’s future in the long run.
