Besiktas ready to accept Tottenham Hotspur transfer bid for Ridvan Yilmaz
According to Italian outlet Toro IT (h/t Football.London), Besiktas are ready to accept a transfer bid from Tottenham Hotspur to finalise a potential move for Ridvan Yilmaz. He would be a useful addition indeed for the English club if they can pull off a deal at the end of this season.
The Turkish club’s president Ahmet Nur Cebi has revealed that they would accept a proposal from Tottenham for Yilmaz’s services. The offer is mooted to be around £8.5million in transfer fees which is reasonable for a talent like him. However, the bid has not been made just yet, so it remains to be seen whether a move will take place or not in the future.
Yilmaz has already requested his current club that they should allow him to join Spurs moving forward. Nur Cebi has now confirmed that they will not stand in the Turkish international’s way and would facilitate the proposed switch should a bid be made this summer.
Spurs to complete Yilmaz transfer?
The 20-year-old has earned plaudits for his performances this season, scoring thrice and assisting four goals from 25 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig. He has shown all the signs of being on the way to becoming a top-notch attacking full-back which makes him a suitable acquisition for Antonio Conte’s side.
A highly technical defender, the Turkish left-back is also a dependable option when it comes to defending, which makes him an attractive prospect, to say the least. With Sergio Reguilon likely to leave the North London side after the current campaign, we need to be on the lookout for replacements.
Yilmaz is a great shout indeed, and his current valuation is not too expensive either. Not to mention, Conte has expressed his need to buy wing-backs which also opens up a spot for his signing. He would be a good choice to provide competition to Ryan Sessegnon as well. It seems that we are really close to getting our hands on the Besiktas ace if this news is anything to go by.
After all, Yilmaz himself is pushing for a move to N17, while his club chief has openly admitted that they will sell him to Conte’s team. If that is the case, all that is left is for us to make an offer and get this deal in this bag before any other complications arrive.

It would be best to complete a transfer at the earliest so that we can focus our attention on other areas that need to be bolstered. Moreover, we also do not want potentially interested parties to cause trouble for us, especially when we are this close to finalising a deal.
Let’s hope that the club can use this advantage to their best self and complete a move for the talented defender as soon as possible. Whether that will happen or not, though, would only be known in due time.
