Transfer News: Tottenham keen on signing Antonin Barak
The attacking midfielder has been having a great season with the Serie A club scoring 11 goals and assisting four in 30 games. His performances have caught the eye of many European giants and Spurs are no exception.
The 27-year-old has a contract with Verona until 2024 and is said to be open to a move away from the club. The Italian club might also want to cash in on the player making a move in the summer extremely likely.
Conte is said to be a huge fan of the player and is said to be keen on bringing the Czech Republic international to White Hart Lane. Whether the Italian will get his way remains to be seen.
A smart signing?
Coming off the back of a very good season, Barak’s stocks are likely to be in demand and Spurs might want to act quickly to seal a deal for this talented midfielder.
As the club have shown in the past, Fabio Paratici has a keen eye on talent from the Italian league and Antonin Burak could be the latest addition to the continuously growing list at Tottenham.
At 27, the midfielder comes at a very appealing age, neither too young nor too old and is just entering what can be called the prime years of his career. He can offer something very crucial to Spurs if he can continue in the same vein of form.
The signing is likely to not cost us much but it could be a gamble signing a player based on his performance in one season. There is every chance that Barak is unable to replicate his form in the Premier League although we hope that is not the case.
