The Women’s European Championship takes centre stage this summer, and there is set to be a number of Tottenham players taking part in the event in England.

Here is a look at some of the Spurs stars who will be in action and what their chances are of lifting the trophy at Wembley.

Maeva Clemaron (France)

Vice-captain Maeva Clemaron is set to appear for France at the 2021 European Championship and she will be hopeful of ending the tournament with silverware. Her side are among the favourites at 11/2 in the  based event.

France have won their last 12 games in women’s international football, so it is no surprise they are just behind the 5/2 pre-tournament favourites Spain in the . Clemaron can play a big role, as she has had an excellent season for Spurs.

The experienced midfielder played at the World Cup in 2019, which means she will be very familiar with the pressure which comes with tournament football.

Tinja-Riikka Korpela (Finland)

With over 100 caps for Finland, ‘keeper Tinka-Rikka Korpela is a legend in women’s international football. She has represented her country since 2007, including during the European Championship which was held in Finland in 2009.

The former Bayern Munich shot-stopper signed for Spurs in July 2021. This may be her last major tournament, so she will be hoping to end it on a positive note. Finland have been drawn in the same group as Germany, Denmark and Spain, which makes it a difficult task for them to reach the knockout stages.

Viktoria Schnaderbeck (Austria)

This season, two-time Bundesliga winner Viktoria Schnaderbeck has been out on loan at Tottenham. Her future could remain with Spurs if a deal can be reached with her parent club Arsenal.

The 31-year-old will be representing Austria at the tournament this summer where she is the captain. She is one of the key players for her country. Schnaderbeck predominately plays in midfield, but she can also be used as a centre-back. Her versatility is a significant asset at an event like the Euros.

Eveliina Summanen (Finland)

Midfielder Eveliina Summanen was in good form for Finland in 2021, as she scored three goals for her country. She will be hoping to have the same kind of impact in front of goal this summer at the European Championship.

The Finnish player has a contract at Tottenham until 2023, with the option of a further year. She has been a good signing since she arrived in North London. Summanen is a player to keep an eye on in the tournament in July, as she could be one of the stars of the whole competition. She will need to be at her best from the start, given the tough draw her country will face.

The Women’s European Championship begins on 6th July, and it will run all the way through to the final on 31st July. Hopefully, all four of the above Spurs players will have an excellent tournament for their respective countries.
