Antonio Conte issues latest fitness update on Harry Kane for Norwich City vs Tottenham Hotspur clash
Antonio Conte has provided the latest fitness update on Harry Kane ahead of the match between Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow. The visitors would be looking to confirm their spot in the next season’s Champions League and end the campaign with a positive outcome.
Leading up to this game, Kane had suffered an illness which did worry the supporters, but fortunately, Conte has revealed that the striker is cleared to play in his pre-match press conference (h/t Tottenham Hotspur official website). The boss also confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski and others who suffered similar issues would also be available tomorrow.
“Yes. Also, in the last game (against Burnley), we had Dejan Kulusevski with this problem, he didn’t train with us on the Saturday but, on Sunday, he was good to play. For sure, Harry doesn’t want to miss this type of game. If you remember against Burnley, we had three, four cases of a stomach problem. In this week, we had a couple of cases but overcame the situation.”
The Italian boss further expressed that the team news remains the same just as it was in the previous fixture against Burnley. That means Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Cristian Romero and Japhet Tanganga would be out of contention against Norwich.
“The availability of the players is the same as the last game against Burnley.”
Spurs must not throw this away!
Even a draw against the Canaries would ensure that we are qualified for the next term’s CL due to our superior goal difference compared to Arsenal. As such, throwing this golden opportunity away would be a damning outcome, so the players must be at their best to get this game in the bag.
Dean Smith’s side is rock bottom in the league table, but despite that, we cannot take them lightly due to the importance of this fixture. A top-four finish would be a massive boost to our morale, looking at the improvements we have made under Conte throughout his time at N17.
As such, the fans would be relieved to know that their star man would be available for tomorrow’s clash. Kane’s presence would go a long way in securing our spot in the top four and diminish the chances of an upset tomorrow. Furthermore, it is also great to see that the illness outbreak has not hampered the squad as it was initially feared.
Even if a point does the good for us, it would be best if Spurs end the season on a high note by securing all three points at Carrow Road. That would be an icing on the cake, as no one would have expected the former Inter Milan manager to get us to this place when he initially took over back in November.

While we have several key players missing for tomorrow’s game, the squad still has more than enough options to get the job done against a Championship-bound side. Perhaps, even the fringe players could play a part in our top-four finish as they have done in the last couple of fixtures.
