Liverpool monitoring Torino star Gleison Bremer amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
According to Italian publication Torino Granata (h/t The Mirror), Liverpool have turned their attention to Torino star Gleison Bremer amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur for a potential move. He has been a standout performer for his side this season, having played a major part in helping their defence become one of the best in Serie A this term.
Bremer has been quite sensational in this campaign, and his performances have earned lots of plaudits during this period. He was recognised as the Best Defender of Serie A 2021/2022 season for his displays, which have certainly attracted attention from across Europe. Tottenham are one of the interested parties, but the Reds have now entered the fray.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have “set their sights” on completing a transfer in the summer transfer window. The Italian club are willing to part ways with the Brazilian for offers in the region of between £21million and £25million. Spurs will face a stern challenge if they hope to get their hands on Bremer after this term.
Spurs must sign Bremer!
A sturdy and rock-solid defence has been the foundation of Antonio Conte’s success at his previous clubs, and the backline must reach a similar level at N17 if there are title ambitions. We have improved a lot in recent months but are still far off from reaching the very top as of now.
Adding someone like Bremer to the squad would greatly improve the defence, which makes his potential transfer a kind of priority ahead of the next campaign. Securing his signature would be very difficult with Manchester United, Manchester City, Napoli, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Inter Milan also being in the mix.
Now things have become worse for Conte’s side with the entry of the Merseyside club. However, the fans would still be confident of a move as Liverpool have several quality options in their centre-back positions, unlike the case with us. Furthermore, they also utilise a four at the back system compared to three centre-half pairing at North London.
Perhaps, Fabio Paratici could use that to his advantage and convince Bremer that he would be guaranteed more minutes with us. Completing a move for the 25-year-old defender can be deemed a priority as his transfer seems to be quite valuable, looking at his meagre price tag.

The South American centre-back is likely to attract more attention, having been declared as Serie A’s best defender for this season. Hence, it would be wise if Paratici finalised a move before more competitors would join the transfer race.
We could use someone like Bremer in our ranks, considering how the lack of dependable choices has forced Conte to use Ben Davies as a central defender. That could be solved with the Serie A ace’s signing, but whether that will happen or not will only be known in due time.
