Dane Scarlett lavishes praise on Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min
According to The Evening Standard, Dane Scarlett has revealed his admiration for Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
This comes after the 18-year-old penned a new deal that will see him remain at the club till at least 2026. Scarlett came through the ranks at the N-17, becoming the then-youngster player in history to represent Tottenham at the senior level following his cameo against Ludogorets Razgrad in 2020.
Since then, Scarlett has made 10 senior appearances for the club, making one assist. He has shown enough promise to suggest that he could develop into a dependable star in the future.
The new contract in a way also shows Tottenham’s faith in their young gun. With Antonio Conte at the helm and a UEFA Champions League run to look forward to, exciting times lay ahead for the North London side.
Staying at Spurs will also permit Scarlett to learn from Kane and Son, two of the Premier League’s best attackers. The duo scored 40 goals between them last linked and impressed with their link-up play.
Scarlett considers himself lucky to learn from them. Hopefully, he can pick up a trick or two and follow in their footsteps in the years to come.
“They’re both very top and good people to be around and it’s amazing that I have the opportunity to work with these kind of names and people.”
The teenager also praised Antonio Conte and the difference he has made at N-17. Scarlett believes the Italian’s training sessions have been beneficial for the attackers and hopes to learn from it in the years to come.
“The sessions are very beneficial for the attacking players and it’s good to be around that early and understand the way he plays.”

Scarlett has time on his side to develop his game and could emerge as a dependable striker in the years to come. Spurs will need to replace Kane in the future and it remains to be seen if the youngster has what it takes to take on the mantle.
