Fabrizio Romano: Ivan Perisic will decide on future soon amidst Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Juventus interest
According to the transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Ivan Perisic is set to make a final decision on his future shortly amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur for a potential move. He could be in line to move to N17 at the end of this season with a reunion with Antonio Conte being on the cards.
Perisic will see his current contract with Inter Milan expire in the summer transfer window. That has seen him attract interest from Tottenham, Chelsea and Juventus, although the latter is currently busy facilitating moves to sign Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria right now.
Perisic is set to choose his future options in the next few days, with Inter’s new contract offer being on the table at this moment. Romano himself revealed in a tweet earlier this week that the Serie A side improved their proposal to a guaranteed €5million net salary per season which would rise if certain add-ons are met in the future.
Will Perisic choose Spurs?
It remains to be seen if the Croatian international will be convinced to stay at Giuseppe Meazza following the new meeting that was held recently. He is currently in discussions with his representatives to choose the ideal destination for him at this stage in his playing career.
Perisic has not shown any signs of slowing down despite being 33 years of age, having enjoyed a successful season with the Nerazzurri this term. Adding him to our squad would be of great benefit, considering how he can boost our options on the left-wing and the left wing-back position.
Ryan Sessegnon has been impressive for the North Londoners when he has been fit. Sergio Reguilon, meanwhile, has not hit the mark most expected him to do after the early promise he had shown under Antonio Conte. Sessegnon’s injury troubles and Reguilon’s underperformance could make Perisic’s signing an attractive prospect.
Perisic has shown during his time with Conte that he can excel in wing-back positions with flying colours. He has done the same in this campaign as well, giving more reason for us to explore that option. He could also be a solid backup for Son Heung-Min on the left-hand side of the attack.

After all, we could see Steven Bergwijn leave Conte’s side as he could be parted ways to raise funds for this summer. Bryan Gil still may not be ready to cope with the rigours of the Premier League, paving the way for Perisic to cement his spot as a backup.
That being said, things would not be easy for us with Juve, the Blues and Simone Inzaghi’s side himself looking to be the victors in this tussle. Let’s wait and see what decision would Perisic take in the coming days, although the fans would hope to see a positive outcome in this case.
