Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur receive a huge boost in Richarlison race

According to foreign outlet Goal Brasil (h/t Football.London), Richarlison wants to move to a different Premier League team this summer amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Richarlison joined Everton from Watford in the summer of 2018 and has since developed into one of the top players in the team. He had an early impact with the Merseyside club, scoring 13 league goals in each of his first and second seasons with the Toffees.

In 152 games for Everton, the 25-year-old has a total of 53 goals and 14 assists. Richarlison has been as important as ever for them, playing all over the front line.

Daily Mail journalist Tom Collomosse also provides another insightful perspective of the story as he stated Frank Lampard is currently trying to recruit Emmanuel Dennis, who is being considered as a replacement if the Brazilian star leaves this summer.

With UEFA Champions League action on the horizon, his flexibility might be a valuable asset for manager Antonio Conte. However, we can’t expect the Brazilian international to come cheap. He still has two years left on his contract and his importance to Everton is obvious.

Now that we’ll be competing in the Champions League next season, there’s a pressing need to fill the gaps in our squad. One such position is centre-forward, where Harry Kane lacks someone who can provide cover for the talisman when needed.

Last season, we suffered a lot when Kane was rested or pulled out of the team, but that cannot happen again. As a result, sealing a transfer for Richarlison would substantially alleviate that problem, and his flexibility on both sides might enable him to play a bigger role under Conte.
