Rio Kyerematen signs his first Tottenham Hotspur professional contract
According to their official Twitter account, Tottenham Hotspur announced that midfielder Rio Kyerematen had signed his first professional contract with the club. The English midfielder was promoted from Tottenham Hotspur Youth to Tottenham Hotspur U-18.
The midfielder has been with the club since the age of eight and will now begin the new season as a full-time player. The London-born player has been part of the Youth system at Spurs since he was eight years old.
Kyerematen is a central midfielder who can also act as an attacking midfielder when required. A top talent, the 17-year-old had a fantastic last season in the U-18 Premier League. He made 23 appearances for the club in the U-18 Premier League, scoring seven times and assisting four in the process.

The midfielder has been with us since the age of eight and is about to begin his second season as a full-time player.
Congrats, Rio!
A midfielder for the future?
This deal should motivate Kyerematen to work harder to make it to the first team. A young player, he has huge potential in him.
His figures from last season earned him his first contract and he could turn out to be an important player for Spurs in the UEFA Youth League. The teenager could also m progress to the U-23 development squad.
Apart from this, the teenager is also an England U-17 international. Kyerematen already plays above the level of his counterparts and has the potential to become a first-team player someday.
No doubt the youngster already has aspirations to play in the first team. Should he continue such good form and keep up with his development, Antonio Conte could call him up to be part of the bench for a cup game and he could also maybe make his senior debut this season.
