Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici in Milan to seal Japhet Tanganga and Bryan Gil transfers

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici is in Milan to hold meetings over the futures of Japhet Tanganga and Bryan Gil.

The English defender has failed to become a regular at Spurs despite initially showing promise under Jose Mourinho. Gil, meanwhile, spent a part of last season on loan at Valencia after an underwhelming start at Spurs.

Sampdoria are interested in the Spanish winger, while Italian giants AC Milan have been heavily linked with Tanganga. I Rossoneri want the 22-year-old on a loan deal, with Bournemouth previously interested.

Japhet Tanganga could join AC Milan on a loan deal.

Whether Sampdoria’s interest in Gil is for a loan transfer or a permanent one is unclear. But having signed from Sevilla just last year in a deal that saw Erik Lamela swap places, it would be odd to see us trying to offload him on a permanent basis already.

What next for the duo?

The two of them clearly have no place in Conte’s starting XI in the short term. Tanganga was hardly used by Conte, who instead preferred playing Ben Davies, a natural left-back, as a third centre-back in his system.

Gil, meanwhile, was let go in the middle of the campaign. Both of them are still very young and can use regular playing time to keep developing.

With Clement Lenglet already at N17 after completing a loan deal from Barcelona, things will get even tougher at Spurs for Tanganga. Ivan Perisic, meanwhile, is another winger that Conte has added to his roster this summer.
