Bayern Munich have held talks with the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
According to Bild (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could be subject to a move next summer with Bayern Munich reaching out to the player’s representatives.
The German giants are supposedly trying to get a feeling from the 28-year-old’s camp before moving in on him in 2023. The Bundesliga champions have just lost Robert Lewandowski.
Bayern holding talks may come as a surprise to Spurs. Kane’s contract situation ‘prohibits’ official negotiations as of now. The German giants have spoken with those close to the 28-year-old regarding a possible move in the summer of 2023.
Kane is Tottenham’s talisman. The England captain has been our most important player since he broke into the team in the 2014/15 season.
Since then, the 28-year-old has scored a massive number of goals for us. Over the course of the seasons, Kane has only gotten better in terms of goal-scoring ability and overall talent.
Kane is irreplaceable
The England international has won three Premier League Golden Boots with the North London side. The 28-year-old has scored 247 goals in 385 appearances for Tottenham, making him our all-time top goalscorer.
What has been a letdown for most is Kane’s trophy haul with the North London side. When people look back at the all-time greats, titles are a significant consideration. We haven’t won silverware in 14 years and there is no better time than now to change that.
While Spurs are looking to build something under Antonio Conte, the Italian’s contract concludes at the end of next season. This uncertainty around the manager is concerning.

The England captain was angling for a move last summer, but fortunately, we managed to keep a hold of him. To lose a player of Kane’s stature and quality will be difficult for any club to handle. The striker has been one of the reasons for us being competitive.
